A major portion of Governor Jeff Landry’s tax plan has received support from the House Ways and Means Committee. A bill to repeal the corporate franchise tax on businesses and a measure to reduce state income taxes for all workers were easily approved. A bill that would lead to new sales taxes has yet to be considered.
