The biggest offseason addition for the Pelicans was Dejounte Murray, who was an off ball guard in Atlanta, but he’ll play point guard in New Orleans. New Orleans does not have a true center after losing Jonas Valanciunas in free agency.

Rumors about Alvin Kamara possibly getting traded have been put to rest as New Orleans and Kamara have agreed to a two-year contract extension that’s worth a reported 24.5 million dollars. Kamara’s contract keeps him in New Orleans through 2026. The Saints will be in Los Angeles this Sunday to take on the Chargers.

LSU was ranked 86th in points allowed last season, giving up 30 points a game. This year LSU is allowing 21 points a game and ranked 35th in the country. First-year defensive coordinator Blake Baker is getting a lot of credit and Coach Brian Kelly says Baker has taken the time to develop personal relationships with the players…

Louisiana Tech’s defense came up big again for the Bulldogs last night as Tech defeated Texas El Paso 14 to 10. The Bulldogs allowed the Miners to convert only once on third-down and the offense didn’t do much until the fourth quarter when they put together an 11 play drive capped off by a one-yard touchdown from Amani Givens.
