Authorities say the murderer who was let go from prison in East Feliciana Parish by mistake on September 22nd, was apprehended in Atlanta early this morning. Middle District of Louisiana US Marshal Kevin Harrison says they spoke with a number of people in Johnson’s hometown of Iberville Parish and learned he had connections in Georgia:

The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a 19-year-old man after he allegedly accidentally shot his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach. Louisiana voters say their favorite governor out of the last six is Edwin Edwards. 31% of respondants in a Clarus Research Group poll said The Cajun Prince was the best governor followed by Mike Foster at 21 percent. Edwards admits his gubernatorial terms were a bit controversial, but says he took care of business, even though some may not have liked the way he did it…:
