Quarterback Derek Carr was five of six on that drive. The first team offense averaged nearly five yards a carry last night led by Jamaal Williams who had five carries for 32 yards.
Another bright spot from last night’s game was the pressure the Saints put on 49er quarterbacks. Chase Young had a couple of quarterback hurries and Carl Granderson recorded a sack.
The Saints will hold a practice at Tulane’s Yulman Stadium tomorrow night.
LSU football coach Brian Kelly says the Tigers have been able to cut down on giving up big plays during this preseason camp. Kelly says the development of the cornerbacks has been a key.
