The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s office says two men were rescued after being lost in woods 5 miles east of Clinton for two days. They didn’t say why they were in the woods Friday and through the weekend unable to find their way. Apparently one of them, who is 33, became dehydrated and started hallucinating so the other friend, aged 26, went to get help. Deputies say the 26-year-old was first recovered then a search team found the dehydrated man hours later and he was taken to a hospital.
State Representative Jeff Thompson of Bossier City will leave the state legislature to become a district judge. Thompson qualified unopposed to fill the judgeship left vacant by the retiring Ford Stinson. He says his time in the State House was a great opportunity to help craft some meaningful legislation for the state…:
