Responding to a hostage situation Thursday, 35-year-old Lafayette SWAT negotiator Senior Corporal Segus Jolivette (See-guss Joe-vee-ette) died in the line of duty. He is survived by his wife and five children. There will be a candlelight vigil at Jenerette City Hall tonight in his memory at 7 o’clock.
