Former nursing home owner Bob Dean has avoided jail time after pleading no contest to 15 counts related to his failed evacuation plan of nursing home residents to a warehouse in Tangipahoa Parish during Hurricane Ida in 2021. Dean was sentenced to three years probation, Attorney General Liz Murrill expressed disappointment Dean was not sent to prison for several years.
