A car crash has claimed the life of 90-year-old Jean Ducote of Lafayette. State Police say Ducote was a rear seat passenger in a vehicle that was rear-ended on Highway 74 in Ascension Parish. The crash happened Wednesday afternoon and Ducote died from her injuries yesterday. State Police continues to investigate the fatal wreck.
