Americans United for the Separation of Church and State has a problem with Louisiana’s new Ten Commandments Law that requires every public school classroom to display the ten commandments. They’ve filed a motion asking a federal judge to block implementation of the law before the start of the school year. Alex Luchenitser says more than four decades ago the U-S Supreme Court overturned a similar law in Kentucky….

Supporters of the law say the Ten Commandments are the foundation of many of our laws.

The University of Louisiana System has named three semifinalists to be the next president at Northwestern State. They are Jose Cantu at the University of Colorado, Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Judge James Genovese and Richard Riccardi, who works in higher ed in Massachusetts. Governor Landry is reportedly backing Genovese.
