A federal judge is giving Angola seven days to adjust their policies so prisoners on the Farm Line can receive shade, rest, sunscreen and water when working in hot conditions. The ruling comes after eight incarcerated men requested a preliminary injunction and a temporary restraining order to stop the farm line when the heat index reaches or exceeds 88 degrees. Promise of Justice Imitative Legal Director Colin Reingold says a trial date is scheduled for late September.
