A Caddo Parish Jury convicted 45-year-old Charlene Henderson guilty of Second-Degree murder Wednesday in the 2022 death of her husband, Larry Clark. Henderson took the stand in her own defense saying she feared for her life when she shot Clark, covered his body with carpet and doused it with gasoline before sending a photo of the scene to a family member. The Jury deliberated for 2 hours before coming back with a guilty verdict.

Ascension Parish deputies are investigating the murder of a Gonzales woman and have arrested her husband 50-year-old Sean Morris. Col Donald Cappello with the APSO says they received multiple 9-1-1 calls of shots being fired around 7:30 last night and when they arrived, they found 44-year-old-Brenda Morris deceased.

Morris has been charged with second-degree murder.

Former Congressman Ralph Abraham has been named the state’s first Surgeon General and says he wants to focus first on mental health.  Sean Richardson has the story.

The first debate for the 2024 presidential election airs on CNN tonight and political strategist James Carville says the MAGA voting base won’t be enough to help Trump return to the White House. He says in state primaries there are still Republicans voting for Niki Haley.
