50-year-old Sean Morris of Gonzales has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife, 44-year-old-Brenda Morris who was found deceased last night after several calls to 9-1-1 reported shots fired around 7:30. APSO Col Donald Cappello says Morris is no stranger to law enforcement.

A Caddo Parish Jury convicted 45-year-old Charlene Henderson guilty of Second Degree murder in the 2022 death of her husband, Larry Clark Wednesday. Henderson took the stand in her own defense saying she feared for her life when she shot Clark, covered his body with carpet and doused it with gasoline before sending a photo of the scene to a family member. The Jury deliberated for 2 hours before coming back with a guilty verdict.

Newly appointed State Surgeon General, Dr. Ralph Abraham says mental health will be first on his list to tackle. Floods, hurricanes, and the pandemic have raised stress levels and Abraham says

Ultimately, Abraham says he wants to change policies that have been holding the state back from providing better healthcare.

Tonight is the first debate for the 2024 presidential election and political strategist James Carville believes President Biden and former President Trump will have to bring new information to sway any decided and undecided voters
