LSU Baseball has received a verbal pledge from former Auburn outfielder Chris Stanfield who entered the transfer portal after two seasons at Auburn. This past season on the Plains, Stanfield hit .276 with four home runs and 25 RBIs and he stole nine bases.

California high school outfielder Derek Curiel has announced he’s withdrawn from the 2024 MLB Draft and he’ll enroll at LSU this summer. Curiel is considered a plus-hitter from the left-side who has good speed and can play the field well. Curiel will be a draft eligible sophomore.

Former LSU pitcher Paul Skenes is now 4-0 after allowing one run in six innings in the Pirates four to one win over the Reds on Monday. Skenes struck out seven.

And the Washington Nationals have promoted Dylan Crews to Triple-A. The former LSU star was hitting .274 with 5 home runs and 38 RBIs at Harrisburg.

Former LSU football coach Les Miles is suing the university over vacating 37 of the coach’s wins preventing him from eligibility for College Football Hall of Fame Consideration.

Sunday’s game between The Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever, another rematch between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark was the most watched WNBA game on any network in 23 years. The game peaked at three million viewers as the Fever defeated the Sky. The game featured a much talked about flagrant foul committed by Reese on Clark.
