During Wednesday’s second tier Republican presidential debate, Governor Bobby Jindal was asked about the 14-year-old Muslim in Texas who brought a homemade clock to school and was arrested because a teacher thought it was a bomb. Jindal said he’s glad the child was released and then turned the discussion to Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk of court, who was thrown in jail for her refusal to issue same-sex marriage licenses…

Robert Vosbein, the new president of the Louisiana Film and Entertainment Association, is eager to work with the new governor and legislature on removing or altering the state’s current 180-million dollar cap on film tax credits. Vosbein says his message to policy makers will be that thousands of jobs are at stake…

He says the cap on film tax credits is sending movie productions and jobs to Georgia.

The Louisiana Sheriff’s Association has announced they are endorsing former Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser in the race for Lt. Governor. Nungesser gets the sheriffs’ support over three other candidates in the race. The group is also supporting incumbent Buddy Caldwell in the Attorney General’s race.
