The man accused of killing Callie Brunett of Loranger and her three-year-old daughter tells reporters he did it. In Mississippi, Friday afternoon, Daniel Callihan he confessed and blamed his medication for his actions.

Lexapro is a medication used to treat anxiety and depression. Callihan is facing multiple charges including capital murder, sexual battery and armed robbery. A second suspect 32 year old Victoria Cox has also been charged in the case.

Meanwhile, Shreveport police have arrested two people in connection with the deadly shooting of an elderly man that happened just south of Benton on Thursday. He had just gotten out of the car in his driveway when someone in a hoodie shot him several times. Detectives have arrested 22 year old Delandro Fleming as the shooter and say 23 year old Destiny Landers drove the getaway car. Both are charged with first degree murder.

U.S. Representative Garret Graves says he will not seek re-election to Congress. Last month Graves said he would seek re-election, but didn’t know if he would campaign in his current district or seek to unseat Start Republican Rep. Julia Letlow. Political commentator Bernie Pinsonat wasn’t surprised.

Law enforcement have arrested some men they say had planned to ambush and kill Baton Rouge Police Officers. BRPD Special Investigations Detectives and the US Marchal’s Fugitive Task Force executed arrest warrants apprehending a 25 year old Dwayne Williams, 20 year old Bryson Lumbers and 18 year old Yazavier Gaines, along with a 16 year old. Authorities say the suspects had consistently posted photos of firearms equipped with machine gun conversion devices on social media.
