Meanwhile Jindal was out in Vacherie yesterday to announce that a China-based company is coming to the Mississippi River in St. James Parish. He say it’s a methanol manufacturing facility that’s expected to create 350-400 permanent jobs. The first phase of construction is set to begin in 2016.

The Slidell Police Department has made an arrest in the strange case of a man who stole a company check to pay for a prostitute while at work. Detective Daniel Seuzeneau says the store manager was investigating a missing company check when he made the discovery…:

The cameras caught 24-year-old Charles West talking with a female customer around closing time Monday night. He was charged with theft, forgery, and solicitation of a prostitute. Police are searching for the woman.
