The New Orleans Saints concluded their three day mandatory veteran minicamp yesterday and will be on break until July 24th, when their training camp begins. First year offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak says that Chris Olave will play a big part in the team’s offensive success this season.

Olave had 87 catches last season for 1,123 yards and five touchdowns.

Saints veteran running back Alvin Kamara missed the final day of the three day mandatory veteran minicamp yesterday. Kamara’s agent says that the move was contract-related and that Kamara made the move due to slow contract extension talks. Kamara is on the second to last year of the $77 million dollar extension he signed with the Saints in 2020.

The Men’s College World Series is finally here and the first game will feature North Carolina taking on Virginia in an all ACC matchup this afternoon at 1 o’clock. The Tarheels reached the College World Series after barely defeating LSU in their regional and sweeping West Virginia in the Chapel Hill Super Regional. Virginia reached the College World Series after defeating Mississippi State in their regional and then sweeping Kansas State in the Charlottesville super regional.

The New Orleans Pelicans released their preseason schedule yesterday. The Pels will take on the Magic at home on October the 7th to start things off. Then New Orleans will travel to Orlando on October 11th, Miami on October 13th, and finally Houston on October 15th to finish out the preseason.

And what could be the final game of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks tips off tonight at 7:30 pm in Dallas. The Boston Celtics took a three game lead against the Dallas Mavericks after winning the last matchup in Dallas 106 to 99. The Celtics are now just one win away from their eighteenth NBA championship.
