The College Football Playoff has released the game times for the first 12-team playoff. It will get underway on Friday December 20th with a first round game on a college campus. There will be three postseason games on December 21st. The Sugar Bowl will host a quarterfinal game on New Year’s Day night.

Former LSU women’s basketball player Hailey Van Lith will compete in the Summer Olympics in Paris. Van Lith will represent the U-S in three on three women’s basketball. Her teammates are Cameron Brink, Rhyne Howard and Cierra Burdick.

LSU pitcher Griffin Hering and Louisiana Tech’s Ethan Bates are Stopper of the Year finalists. Bates led the nation with 17 saves.

LSU relief pitcher Aiden Moffett has entered the transfer portal after making 16 appearances in 2024 and finishing with an ERA of 5.60.

It’s official, professional hockey is back in Monroe as the Monroe Moccasins will play in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Owner Nick Perkins expects northeast Louisiana will support the team and they will support winning hockey…
