Louisiana State Police say a 73-year-old man died from his injuries after a crash in Pointe Coupee Parish Sunday morning. They indicate Daniel Chutz of Rougon (Roux-Gone) turned into the path of a truck on La 415 from Highway 981 and was hit. Even though Chutz was wearing a seatbelt, he was taken to the Point Coupee General Hospital in New Roads with critical injuries and he later died.

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will air tonight on NBC and there are five Louisiana-made series and miniseries that are all in the running for some really nice honors. Louisiana Entertainment Executive Director Chris Stelly…:

The law that requires abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges goes into effect next Monday but the Center for Reproductive Rights filed a suit in federal court to challenge the measure. They say this would close all five of the state’s five abortion clinics. But Louisiana Right to Life Executive Director Ben Clapper says abortion clinics should have the same standards as other surgical facilities…:
