Three LSU Tigers are expected to be selected tonight in the first round of the NFL draft. The Washington Commanders are expected to take quarterback Jayden Daniels with the number two overall pick. Malik Nabers is expected to be another top ten pick, while Brian Thomas Junior is predicted to be a mid to late first round selection.

The Saints pick 14th and they have a glaring need at offensive tackle.

New Orleans has nine picks in this year’s draft and seven of their picks are in the 5th round or later. Host of the Locked on Saints podcast Ross Jackson says those seven picks give the Saints plenty of mobility if they choose to move up for a player or down to get more draft capital.

LSU honored its women’s gymnastics team with a parade and a celebration inside the PMAC last night. Coach Jay Clark led the program to its first ever title and the team’s success resulted in Georgia offering him and his assistants a chance to coach the Gym Dogs. But Clark says he’s staying at LSU…

The LSU women’s basketball team is reloading. The Lady Tigers have announced they’ve signed three guards out of the transfer portal. Shayeann Day Wilson arrives at LSU after averaging nearly 11 points a game at Miami last season. Kailyn Gilbert is now a Lady Tiger after averaging 15 points a game at Arizona. Mjrackle Shepphard averaged five points a game at Mississippi State in her freshman season.

The Pelicans lost to Oklahoma City 124 to 92 last night and they are now down two games to none in their series. Houston Christian upset the 17th ranked Ragin Cajuns baseball team ten to nine and Louisiana Tech lost to Nicholls ten to seven.
