Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Stephen Campbell says they are reviewing their policies when it comes to transgender individuals. The controversy arose when a transgender woman from Denham Springs attempted to get a new license at an OMV in Baton Rouge, but was turned away because she was born as a male. Campbell says there’s no guarantee the policy will be changed.
The statistical peak of the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season is today. Eric Blake, Hurricane Specialist with the National Hurricane Center, says so far this season has produced eight named storms but only two hurricanes.
