One person was fatally shot and eleven others injured in a mass shooting that took place last night in the New Orleans Warehouse district. The shooting occurred near the The Republic NOLA nightclub on South Peters Street. Five adult males and six adult females suffered gunshot wounds.

A bill heading to the Senate would prevent transgender individuals from entering a bathroom at a school, prison or domestic violence shelter that does not match their biological sex. Supporters say its to protect women and girls from being attacked by a transgender female.
