A study shows prenatal care in Louisiana is being delayed due to the state’s abortion ban. Brooke Thorington explains.

On a 60-43 vote, the Louisiana House has approved a bill that would repeal the state’s mandatory motorcycle helmet law that’s been in place since 2004. Supporters say motorcyclists should have a choice whether to wear a helmet, while opponents say this legislation will lead to more highway deaths.

The landmark education bill of the legislative session has been filed. Carencro Representative Julie Emerson is the author of the Louisiana Gator Scholarship program, which seeks to give all families an opportunity to receive taxpayer dollars to send their child to a private school. The House Transportation Committee approves a bill that says the state or a local government can not restrict the buying and selling of powered vehicles.
