In college basketball action, McNeese will battle Nicholls State today in Lake Charles for the Southland Conference Tournament Championship. Heading to the Senate floor is a bill that would add increased penalties for individuals stealing delivered packages from homes. The legislation would give judges the authority to sentence a thief to 60 days in jail if they steal packages from several homes.
