The LSU men’s basketball team could not come back from another double digit deficit on Saturday and lost to Mississippi State 87 to 67. The Bulldogs also got a big game from Josh Hubbard, who scored a career-high 32 points. The freshman from Madison, Mississippi hit six threes. Louisiana Tech men’s basketball remains in a first place tie with Sam Houston after the Bulldogs defeated New Mexico State 67-58 on Saturday. Tech will wrap up their three-game road trip on Wednesday when they visit Western Kentucky.

Grambling is now in first place in the SWAC after rallying from 17 points down to beat Southern 63 to 57.
