According to State Climatologist Barry Keim, September is usually the busiest month of the year for the hurricane season. He says there have been several September hurricanes that have had devastating impacts….

But Keim says this year an El Nino is creating wind shear, which is hurting the formation of storms.

Shreveport Police say three men are hospitalized after an early drive by shooting. They say a car with several passengers was driving on a roadway when another car pulled beside them and someone in that car opened fire. Three men in the first car were reportedly hit with bullets and shrapnel, one in the head. The victims are hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities are searching for the gunman.
