LSU running back Trey Holly and two others have been arrested for a shooting that took place Friday night in Farmerville. Authorities say it was some sort of a dispute that led to the shooting at the Union Village apartments. Authorities say the victims were innocent bystanders. Holly is facing several charges, including attempted second degree murder, has been suspended indefinitely from the team.

After news broke that the St. Tammany coroner-elect, Dr. Christopher Tape was accused of child sexual assault in New Mexico, parish lawmakers are calling for him to resign. Tape reportedly has only been living in St. Tammany Parish for about a year and Franklinton Senator Beth Mizell says she and other lawmakers were caught completely off-guard with news of his previous charges that were dropped because he didn’t get a speedy trial.

Gas prices are on the increase with the statewide average price for a gallon of regular gas in Louisiana at $2.89, that’s up seventeen cents from a month ago. GasBuddy Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan it’s not surprising for this time of year.

With the beginning of College Baseball Season tomorrow, Legendary Louisiana Tech broadcaster David Nitz begins his final season. Nitz was inducted into the La Tech Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
