The Louisiana Department of Education announces the launch of a new teacher’s workgroup to develop solutions to classroom disruptions. State Superintendent Cade Brumley says teachers feel an increased number of interruptions are taking time away from classroom instruction.
Governor Landry’s budget proposal for the next fiscal year includes $198 million for a second round of stipends for teachers, but no permanent salary increase.
