The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champs again as K-C defeated San Francisco in overtime 25-22. Minden native and former Louisiana Tech star L’Jarius Sneed had three tackles and a pass defensed as he’s a Super Bowl champion for a second time. Former LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire also won his second Super Bowl ring. Former LSU Tiger Neil Farrell also plays for the Chiefs.

Now the Super Bowl is over, expect the Saints to announce 49ers passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak as New Orleans new offensive coordinator. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says Kubiak’s hire gives coach Dennis Allen a rising play-caller who was coveted by several other teams.

In Collège basketball yesterday…The Ragin Cajuns men’s basketball team finished a six game homestand with an 86 to 60 win over Bowling Green in the Sun Belt-MAC challenge.

IN the Southland tonight..McNeese visits Houston Christian, Nicholls hosts Texas A-and-M Corpus Christi. Both teams are 7-3 in league play. Northwestern State hosts UNO.

The 13th ranked LSU Lady Tigers rallied back from a ten-point halftime deficit to beat Alabama 85-66. Angel Reese had 27 points and 19 rebounds. But it was the defense that sparked the rally as LSU outscored the Crimson Tide 30-9 in the third quarter. Coach Kim Mulkey decided to press the Tide after halftime…
