Governor Jeff Landry’s Economic Development and Fiscal Policy Council has recommended the state should begin the process of phasing out corporate and personal income taxes. But the council does not provide any suggestions on how to offset the revenue loss.

The Joint Transportation Committee meets today in Baton Rouge to discuss Governor Jeff Landry’s proposal to fund a new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles . Landry says the overall cost of his plan for a new bridge is 25-percent lower than what the Edwards Administration proposed.
