LSU is expected to announce the promotion of Joe Sloan and Cortez Hankton as co-offensive coordinators for the 2024 season. Both have been assistants at LSU since Brian Kelly arrived. Hankton has coached the receivers and has been the passing game coordinator, while Sloan has been the quarterbacks coach and reports say Sloan will be the play caller. The Pelicans scored over 150 points for the first time in franchise history last night as New Orleans routed the Utah Jazz 153 to 124 at the Smoothie King Center. CJ McCollum had a game high 33 points as he was 9 of 13 from three point territory. Zion Williamson had a career-high 11 assists.

Daniels learned yesterday he won the Manning Award. It’s an award that goes to the nation’s top quarterback and it takes into consideration postseason performances. Daniels wins the award even though he didn’t play in the bowl game.
LSU men’s basketball is on the road tonight to face the Georgia Bulldogs. Both teams were picked to finish near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference, but they are both 3-and-2 in league play this season. Tip time is at 5:30.
