The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who alleged cop murderer Kevin Daigle could have also killed as 54-year-old Blake Brewer of Moss Bluff. They say Daigle, who is charged in the shooting death of Trooper Steven Vincent, is reported to have lived with Brewer and was driving Brewer’s truck at the time of the shooting. The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Erika is moving through the Atlantic Ocean toward the Caribbean. They say some strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days and on the track the center of Erika will approach the Leeward Islands Wednesday night and early Thursday. After that, the hurricane center expects Erika to move close to Puerto Rico and Hispaniola before becoming a category one hurricane early on Saturday near the Bahamas.
