The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says 54-year-old Kevin Daigle, the man accused of killing a state trooper near Lake Charles, could be connected to another murder. Sheriff Tony Mancuso says deputies did find a male victim who they believe had been living with Daigle. He says they suspect foul play and the case is being investigated as a homicide…

State Police Superintendent Col. Mike Edmonson is calling Robert Ledoux a hero due to his actions following the fatal shooting of Vincent. Ledoux was the motorist who stopped and wrestled the gun away from the suspect, Kevin Daigle. Edmonson says Ledoux’s main concern was to try to rescue Trooper Vincent and subdue Daigle…

According to a state audit, the Louisiana State Racing Commission has shortchanged higher education 15-million dollars in gambling money. Houma Representative Joe Harrison says they aren’t looking to punish anyone, they just want the State Racing Commission to pay the money, which is based on fees charged on wagers at off-track betting facilities….
