The 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) headed to the president’s desk, includes funding for some Louisiana projects. $13.4 million to build a multipurpose athletic field at Fort Johnson and funds to expand Louisiana rice exports to Africa. Several Military bases including Barksdale Air Force Base, Camp Beauregard, Camp Minden, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans.

The Cordish Companies has broken ground on the $270 million LIVE! Casino & Hotel in Bossier City. The casino will be built on the site of the former Diamond Jacks casino. Principal of the Cordish Companies Jon Cordish says the LIVE! Casino will be the first land-based in northwest Louisiana.
