Keim says most of the rain will be in North Louisiana but the whole state needs it.

Remote marsh fires in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes prompted road closures and even forced some schools to close for the day. Trooper Ross Brennan says LA Highway 182 and Highway 90 have reopened for now.

In October a combination of fog and smoke from the marsh fires caused a multiple-car pileup of more than 168 vehicles on Interstate 55 in southeast Louisiana and killed seven people.
