Bayou Vista Elementary School was placed on lockdown today after a shooting near the school this morning. At about 11 am, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies were called to a house on saturn Street. Officials say they discovered one female victim, and their investigation to find the suspect is ongoing.
