After losing by one vote in the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s race, Republican John Nickelson has filed a lawsuit seeking a new runoff election against Democrat Henry Whitehorn. A recount this morning discovered six additional votes, three for each candidate, which meant Whitehorn remained the winner. The case will be heard Friday in Caddo District Court.

ULM has fired head football coach Terry Bowden after winning just ten games in three seasons. The Warhawks finished the 2023 campaign on a ten-game losing streak.
