A three vehicle crash this morning in East Feliciana Parish has resulted in one death and nine injuries on LA 67. State Police say 18 year-old Michael Davidson of Slaughter crossed the center line; sideswiping one vehicle then crashing head on into another. The victim of the head on crash- 51 year-old James McFadden III of Amite-was pronounced dead at the scene.

The storm is now officially named Tropical Storm Danny in the central Atlantic Ocean and its forecast to be the first hurricane of the 2015 season. State Climatologist Barry Keim says the projected path of the system is expected to intensify as it tracks west and become a tropical storm by the end of the day…:

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office says a 16-year-old Plaquemine High School student has been arrested for bringing a loaded gun to school. Major Ronnie Hebert says they were alerted to the situation by a school resource officer…

Also this morning in Baton Rouge at McKinley High School, a student was found with a loaded 38 caliber handgun in his book bag. Seventeen year-old Owen Galo was charged with illegal possession of a weapon on school on school property, and having a gun with an obliterated serial number.
