A shooting in Sulphur resulted in the death of a male Sunday night. Around 11 PM, Sulphur police responded to complaints about a weapon being fired by someone in a silver vehicle near a business on Ruth St. SPD encountered subjects standing around a vehicle in a residential driveway matching the description given. During the interaction, one of the subjects was shot by a police officer and was transported to a local hospital where he later died. No officers were harmed in the incident. State police are investigating at the request of Sulphur Police Department.
