The Cincinnati Bengals will be without Former LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow for the rest of the season. Burrow was visibly shaken by his inability to grip the football after a second quarter injury sidelined him in Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. A disappointed Burrow jogged to the locker room and though he returned to the sidelines for the second half, he was ruled out due to what was believed to be a sprained wrist. It is now known Burrow suffered a torn ligament and will miss the rest of the season.
Governor-elect Jeff Landry has concerns about the potential cost of Louisiana’s new policy that allows state workers who welcome a new child to receive six weeks of paid leave. The Louisiana Budget Project says Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and South Carolina have adopted a similar family leave policy for its employees in recent years but Landry questions whether Louisiana can afford it…
