A Ruston Artist had died as a result of injuries at the hand of a 23 year old Louisiana Tech student Monday. Police say in what appears to be an random act of violence, Jacoby Johnson attacked 4 people as they were leaving the Lambright Sports and Wellness Center where prior to the attacks, Johnson brandished a knife at a student playing basketball. Among the injured is retired Third District Judge, Cynthia Woodard who was leaving an exercise class when she was attacked. She is reportedly being treated for her injuries and is in critical but stable condition. Many are shocked that the attacks took place at Lambright which serves all ages from seniors to students from elementary through college.
