New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell has been charged by the State Ethics Board for violating state ethics law by improperly taking 15 first-class flights over two years. 2 international flights and 13 domestic flights were the subject of weeks of controversy pressuring Cantrell to reimburse the City of New Orleans $28,856 around a year ago. The Ethics Adjudicatory Board will likely hear the case and could censure or fine Cantrell up to $10,000.
