A Sunday morning traffic stop in Shreveport Sunday morning ended in the death of an occupant of the vehicle. Shreveport Police have requested Louisiana State Police investigate an officer involved shooting. Public information officer, Trooper Ryan Davis says shots were fired at the end of a foot chase when the subject produced a handgun. The subject was struck and pronounced dead at a local trauma center Trooper Davis says the scene is no longer active but the investigation is ongoing.

Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts and Southeastern University alum marked construction of the school’s new broadcast media center last week. Southeastern President William Wainwright says Roberts has done so much for the school and when she visits Roberts also always takes time to inspire students and answer their questions.

During Saturday’s heartbreaking loss to Alabama, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was taken out of the game after taking a hard hit from Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner. Head coach Brian Kelly says it’s day-to-day with Daniels and he’s going through injury protocol.
