Republican Governor-elect Jeff Landry garnered more than fifty percent of the vote and avoided a runoff in a primary that had a turnout of only thirty-five percent. Landry thanked his supporters in Broussard Saturday night and said his victory is historic and symbolic.

Republican Billy Nungesser has been elected to a third term as the state’s Lt. Governor after receiving more than 65 percent of the vote in Saturday’s election, beating out five challengers. As he gets back to business, Nungesser says his goal is to bring a record number of visitors to the state and the best way to do that is to promote every community…

A Frustrating loss for the Saints yesterday as they wasted several chances and lost to the upstart Houston Texans 20-13. Saints Quarterback Derek Carr threw for 353 yards and a touchdown. He was also intercepted once and is upset New Orleans could not get the job done in Houston…

The Saints have just a few days off as they’re set to play again on Thursday…when they’ll host Jacksonville in the dome.
