Several locations statewide set or tied record high temperatures Monday afternoon and the oppressive heat continues to stay over Louisiana. Central and southwest Louisiana is under an Extreme Heat Warning until 8PM, while the rest of the state is under a Heat Advisory until 7PM. Some good news, there is an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms across the state to hopefully cool things down a little this afternoon.
