The Louisiana State Fire Marshal is modifying the statewide burn ban. The modification will allow individual parishes to opt out of the statewide burn ban.  The new order will go into effect tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The state’s first all-female officiating crew will call the Glen Oaks at Parkview Baptist football game tonight.  A total of eight female officials – including six from the Baton Rouge Area Football Officials Association – will call the high school varsity football game. Baton Rouge Area Football Officials Association Assignment Secretary Louis Metevia says it’s difficult to find people interested in officiating football games, so getting females interested could help the shortage…
