Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon is directing insurance agents to notify Louisiana Citizens policyholders of the possibility they could find coverage with a private insurer. Donelon says thousands of policyholders may be missing out on significant savings by getting out of Citizens.

It’s National Prisoner of War- Missing in Action Recognition Day. The Missing Man Table will be on display in the state capital in honor of those servicemen. Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs spokesperson Brandee Patrick says the remains of Pearl Harbor Sailor and New Orleans native Clarence Thompson were identified after laying in a mass grave for more than 80 years.
