The Shreveport Community is mourning the loss of slain Officer Thomas LaValley who was shot to death in the line of duty Wednesday night. A memorial service honoring the life and service of LaValley takes place at 4pm at the Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport. The suspected gunman, 27-year-old Grover Cannon, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after being the target of a multi-state, multi-agency manhunt and an FBI reward of $25,000 for information leading to his capture.
