The LSU coaching staff is doing a lot of re-assessing after Sunday’s embarrassing 45-24 loss to Florida State. The Tigers were overmatched by the Seminoles as F-S-U scored 31 unanswered points in the second half. One of LSU’s best players, linebacker Harold Perkins, had a quiet game, just five tackles. First year West Monroe Football Coach Todd has been placed on administrative leave. A player at Monday’s practice had to go to the hospital with a heat related illness. KNOE TV Sports Director Aaron Dietrich says four players have been sent to the hospital suffering from heat exhaustion since Garvin took over in May…

The Ouachita Citizen reports the player that went the hospital on Monday was doing extra work because he missed practice the week before because of COVID.

Up and coming Pelicans guard Trey Murphy reportedly suffered a meniscus injury to his left knee during a workout and will undergo further testing to see if he’ll need surgery. Murphy averaged 15 points and four rebounds a game last year and made 41-percent of his three-point shots. Murphy’s injury could mean more playing time for first round pick Jordan Hawkins.
