Nine schools from Rapides Parish and the Monroe area won a court battle with the LHSAA as a Baton Rouge judge has issued a preliminary injunction against the association’s playoff format that it put in place last year. The big issue is the definition of a select school as the LHSAA changed that definition last year, which moved dozens of schools considered public, to the select side of the playoff bracket, where they competed against private schools. What this means for the playoff format this year is unknown.
